spritz blitz
Don’t ask me what “spritz” means, but I think essentially a spritz cookie is just a butter cookie, shaped and done up however tickles your fancy! This was one of my favorite cookies as a kid, I think because my grandma would make them in these fun shapes and they were always sprinkled with powdered sugar which looked so pretty and delicious! The recipe itself is as simple as it gets, requiring just butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and flour. Then you can shape them however you’d like before they bake. These are especially fun during holidays, but I also think they’re season-agnostic enough that they can be enjoyed year round.
