This cocoa peanut butter oatmeal is the perfect meal if you want dessert but it’s only breakfast time. Chock full with creamy peanut butter and cocoa powder, these easy oats also add a punch of protein to your morning. It’s super easy to make and is so much more satisfying than instant oatmeal from a pouch.

cocoa peanut butter oatmeal
ingredients
1/2 cup dry rolled oats
1 cup skim milk (or non-dairy milk)
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1 tablespoon creamy peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 banana, thinly sliced
Handful of semi-sweet chocolate chips

Combine oats, milk, cocoa powder, vanilla, and half of the banana slices in a medium saucepan over medium-low heat.
Allow the oatmeal to heat up, and once it begins to bubble, stir constantly until oatmeal is at the desired consistency. Add a pinch of salt. Remove oatmeal from heat, and stir in the peanut butter.
Spoon the oatmeal into a couple bowls, and top with the remaining banana slices and some chocolate chips.
